4 HOURS AGO10th January 2021
Man United manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer gave an update on the injuries to Paul Pogba, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw.

All three missed the Red Devils’ FA Cup win over Watford on Saturday.

“I hope so. I hope all of them for Liverpool anyway,” he told reporters via video link.

“I’m not sure if they’ll make the Burnley one, but we have light training tomorrow [Sunday] and we’ll see on Monday.”

6 HOURS AGO10th January 2021
Jadon Sancho has spoken out about his recent slump in form for Borussia Dortmund that followed speculation that linked him with Manchester United.

Sancho was linked with the Red Devils all summer but no move materialised.

The England international has just two goals in the Bundesliga this season.

“Obviously this season has been very difficult for me personally,” Sancho told

“So I knew when I went away, I just focused on my game and came back raring to go.

“I’m working hard every day in training and on the pitch so I’m just happy to get my goals and assists.”

8 HOURS AGO10th January 2021
Rio Ferdinand did not want to be drawn on labelling Manchester United as title contenders in fear of becoming a ‘meme’ again.

Things are looking good for the Red Devils at the moment as they are level on points with leaders Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.

But Ferdinand was cautious due to past experiences. He told BT Sport: “The highs are high, and the lows are lower than a snake’s belly. I don’t want to jump the gun like I’ve done before.

“I don’t want to become a meme again, but as a football fan, it’s part of it to become emotional, to get hyped up and get excited about things.

“United sitting pretty at the top, after the game against Burnley we hope, I’ll be excited 100 per cent.

“But then it’s a massive game after that against Liverpool to say we’re not just flybys, we’re here to stay.”

10 HOURS AGO10th January 2021
Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool or Manchester United will win the Premier League title this season IF they sign Erling Haaland in the January transfer window.

This is according to former Aston Villa and England forward Gabby Agbonlahor, who praised striking sensation Haaland following his latest superb showing.

Haaland scored his 18th and 19th goals of the season in Borussia Dortmund’s 3-1 win over RB Leipzig on Saturday.

Agbonlahor reckons Haaland will surpass Neymar, who cost Paris Saint-Germain £198m in 2017, as the world’s most expensive player when he eventually leaves Dortmund.

And if he was to move to the Premier League this month, whichever club signs Haaland instantly becomes title favourites.

Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “He’s the most complete striker out there for me. We’re talking about Premier League clubs wanting him; I think Bayern Munich or Real Madrid are the favourites to get him.

“I feel like Borussia Dortmund can ask for whatever they want. If you’re talking about £100million for Sancho, you’re talking £180m for Haaland.

“You’re talking ridiculous money. He’ll be the most expensive player ever when he leaves Dortmund because he’s getting better.

“He’s learning, he looks hungry. He’s not happy just to be at Dortmund and score goals, he’s trying to improve his game and he’s going to get better and better.

“You look at the Premier League teams that could do with him now; Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, they could all do with him.

“What would he do for any of those clubs now? If they had him in January, whoever signed him would win the league.”

12 HOURS AGO10th January 2021
Manchester United are keen on signing Romain Faivre, reports claim.

The Brest midfielder, who joined the Ligue 1 side from Monaco last summer, has caught the eye this season with four goals and three assists in 17 matches.

He recently signed a new contract until 2025 and his value has skyrocketed, having joined Brest for just €500,000 last year.

And, according to Le10 Sport, a host of clubs are keen on Faivre with Man United and PSG said to be watching him.

13 HOURS AGO10th January 2021
Declan Rice is wanted by Man United… but he doesn’t want to join the Red Devils.

According to reports, United are rivalling Chelsea for Rice’s signature, but the West Ham midfielder only wants to sign for the Blues.

The Mirror claim Rice has told his friends he wants to remain in London should he leave the Hammers, with no interest in moving to Manchester.

West Ham value Rice, who wants to play Champions League football, at £80m.

15 HOURS AGO10th January 2021
Following reports that Jesse Lingard is wanted by Inter Milan, the England midfielder has been told to leave Manchester United.

Ex-Red Devil Dimitar Berbatov believes Lingard is not ‘trusted’ by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and says quitting United could be the best thing for his career.

“Honestly, his time is up,” Berbatov told Stadium Astro. “He’s not playing. He had his chances to shine, to prove how good he is, how good he can be.

“It shows that, for the moment, Ole does not trust him enough to play him. And honestly he doesn’t have anywhere to play in the team right now.

“So when you’ve been so long in one team and, coming to 28, you have to look back and say: ‘Did I achieve enough? Am I happy with what I’ve done here? Is my time up?’”

17 HOURS AGO10th January 2021
Jesse Lingard appears likely to leave Manchester United this month… and Inter Milan are keen on signing him.

Lingard has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford, and the Mirror report that Inter boss Antonio Conte is an admirer of the England international.

However, Inter will only be able to sign Lingard if they first successfully offload Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen has flopped since joining Inter from Tottenham last January, and the Serie A outfit want to axe him this month.

Arsenal have reportedly shown interest in signing Denmark playmaker Eriksen on a loan deal.

17 HOURS AGO10th January 2021
Chelsea have entered the race to sign Dayot Upamecano – but Manchester United want him as well.

After a period of relative stability at the back, the Blues have once again started to concede far too many goals and this has coincided with a period of poor form.

And, according to the Mail, Upamecano has emerged as a target of Frank Lampard’s as he seeks to strengthen Chelsea’s backline.

Upamecano is one of the most in-demand transfer targets in European football, with the 22-year-old linked to a host of European giants over the past few years.

Most recently, Manchester United and Arsenal have shown their interest in the young defender, who has a £40m release clause in his RB Leipzig contract.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United plan on signing a new centre-back this year and Leipzig have admitted they will continue to sell their best players.

17 HOURS AGO10th January 2021
Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

Pochettino, the ex-Tottenham manager, was last month appointed Paris Saint-Germain boss and he’s eyeing new players to sign during the January transfer window.

According to the Daily Star, Pogba is Poch’s ‘top transfer target with the midfielder ‘desperate’ to leave Old Trafford as soon as possible.

Real Madrid and Juventus are also keen on Pogba, though PSG have now shot to the front of the queue upon Pochettino’s appointment.

Chelsea are reportedly ready to enter the race to sign RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.

The Frenchman is known to be a former target of Manchester United, although it is unclear if the Red Devils will go in for him this summer.

It’s understood that the 22-year-old signed a new deal last year which contains a release clause of around £40million.

According to the Mail, Chelsea have become the latest club to express an interest in activating the clause.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are all also said to be interested.

1 DAY AGO9th January 2021
Former Manchester United academy player Ravel Morrison has had his contract at ADO Den Haag terminated… just four months into his one-year deal.

The 27-year-old Jamaica international midfielder joined the Dutch club in September 2020 after he was released by Sheffield United.

He spent just one season at the Premier League side, making four appearances.

And Morrison has now left ADO Den Haag after playing just five games in the Netherlands, with the club confirming his exit by mutual consent on Saturday.

1 DAY AGO9th January 2021
RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has opened the door to a possible transfer for centre-back Dayot Upamecano.

The club chief has insisted that they will always consider selling their assets for the right price.

Manchester United and Liverpool have both been strongly linked with a move for the Frenchman.

Mintzlaff told BILD they will, “sell top performers again if it makes financial sense.”

2 DAYS AGO9th January 2021
Bruno Fernandes has praised Paul Pogba and said Manchester United need him in the team.

Speaking to NBC Sport, Fernandes said: “The relationship I have with Paul is good. He speaks Italian and I speak Italian.

“When I arrived, he was injured. I saw him recovering and training on the pitch away from us.

“He was calling me sometimes when I was training and he said, ‘I’m seeing the games, I’m seeing your movement, don’t worry. When I’m fit, I will show you that I can find you. I see you move, you move to the right and to the left, in behind. When I come back, I will show you how I can find you a lot.’

“It shows you the confidence he gives to you, like when he comes back, he’s trying to help you become better and you help him to become better.

“We ended the season really well playing together. But of course the beginning of the season was hard for Paul because he had COVID.

“It was really difficult for Paul to find his form but I think he’s much better and feeling much more confident,” Fernandes added.

“The goal against West Ham gave him much more confidence to understand. The team needs him and he has the quality to help us.”

2 DAYS AGO9th January 2021
Ole Gunnar has spoken about new signing Amad Diallo’s versatility.

Solskjaer admitted he will likely start off working with the Under-23s, alongside Facundo Pellistri.

However, he suggested he could call upon Diallo if he impresses in training.

“I think he’s comfortable in many positions,” Solskjaer told Manchester United’s website.

“Right wing is probably the position he’s played the most, with his left foot coming inside.

“Then again, in the Champions League for Atalanta he played on the left – he cut inside and he went outside, so he can play different positions for us.

“Let’s give him time to find his feet here in England and we’ll hopefully see him soon.”

2 DAYS AGO9th January 2021
Brighton have reportedly now had a bid accepted for Moises Caicedo.

According to Mail Sport, Independiente del Valle have approved their £4.5million offer for the 19-year-old.

Caicedo has previously been linked with both Manchester United and Chelsea.

However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has insisted United were not pursuing him.

It’s understood that Caicedo’s dream move is to Old Trafford.

2 DAYS AGO9th January 2021
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Manchester United still believe in Brandon Williams despite rumours of a January move.

talkSPORT understands the 20-year-old left-back is looking for a move this month after falling down the pecking order, with Southampton, Newcastle and Bayer Leverkusen showing interest.

“With the signing of Alex Telles and the form of Luke Shaw, he’s not really had a look in at left-back this season,” Solskjaer said of the 20-year-old academy graduate.

“I think he played in all three semis – Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup – and he had a great first season.

“This season’s been more difficult for him. I think he’s put his head down, worked really hard lately.

“He will be involved tomorrow. He’s in the squad and he’s shown me that he’s got the desire to fight through this.

“That’s the biggest thing. You know when you find your first big contract, you do well, can you bounce back after not being in the team as much?

“Brandon has showed that lately, so hopefully he’ll just keep carrying on as he does. He knows my view on it, he knows my view on him and we believe in the boy.”

2 DAYS AGO9th January 2021
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has moved to reassure summer signing Donny Van De Beek about how highly he is rated at Manchester United despite his lack of opportunities to date.

The Old Trafford giants swooped to sign the highly-rated 23-year-old from Ajax for an initial 39 million euros (£34.1m), but things have not gone as smoothly as the Holland international had expected.

While Van De Beek has made 20 appearances in all competitions, the majority have come from the bench and the midfielder has so far only made two Premier League starts.

The summer arrival will make his ninth start in all competitions against Watford in the FA Cup third round on Saturday amid fresh background talk about his happiness at United.

“I’ve answered this question so many times,” manager Solskjaer said. “There’s so many examples of players needing a little bit of time, quality players.

“We have many examples ourselves and there are other clubs with examples. Sometimes it takes time.

“You don’t expect people who care for him to be quiet at times, especially when they want the best for them.

“Donny is going to play tomorrow. That’s another chance for him and, yes, I’ve spoken to him and reiterated and made him aware of how much we rate him.

“But he’ll play tomorrow and that’s a good chance again to kick on.”

2 DAYS AGO9th January 2021
Manchester United have recalled midfielder Dylan Levitt from his loan spell with Charlton.

The 20-year-old played five games for the League One club during the first half of the campaign.

Addicks boss Lee Bowyer said: “Dylan is a professional lad and a very talented footballer. I’d like to thank Nicky Butt and Manchester United for allowing us to bring in Dylan on loan. He worked hard during his time here and we wish him the best for the future.

2 DAYS AGO8th January 2021
Manchester United are now NOT in the hunt for Moises Caicedo, it is being reported.

It was believed the Red Devils were keen on the Ecuadorian midfielder but Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has insisted this is not the case.

Caicedo’s dream move is to Old Trafford but Man United are not leading the race for the wonderkid.

Everton are among other sides interested in the 19-year-old and there is likely to be a huge scramble for his signature.

2 DAYS AGO8th January 2021
Brandon Williams could be set for a move this month, most likely on loan.

The 20-year-old had appeared to force his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI last season, but has found himself third-choice behind Luke Shaw and Alex Telles this campaign.

talkSPORT’s transfer guru Alex Crook has revealed: “There’s a lot of interest in Brandon Williams, I know Southampton are interested, they were in the summer as well.

“Solskjaer personally blocked that move. Newcastle and Bayer Leverkusen are also interested in Williams.”

2 DAYS AGO8th January 2021
Sergio Romero and Marcos Rojo are likely to leave this month.

The duo’s contracts at United expire at the end of the season and will not be offered new deals.

But rather than lose them for free they will look to get a fee for defender Rojo, 30, and goalkeeper Romero, 33.

“Both of them have contracts until the summer and they’re not going to be extended. We’re looking for them to find clubs,” manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said.

“Marcos has been given time to go home, so he’s still in Argentina. Sergio has been back home as well to see his family but he’s in England now.

“They’re professionals, they’re working hard and ready if they are called in for us. Marcos will have to travel and do the quarantine before though.”
